I had such fun spinning dog fur this winter, and had so many comments on the border collie moebius I wore all winter, that I made one out of Swift's coat. Now that it's spring, she's so happy to be rolling in the grass. Yay, spring!
This is the one I knitted out of handspun border collie fur, from our dear sweet Koda and Cross, no longer with us. This infinity scarf looks and feels like mink - really - and the yarn created it's own halo after being knitted and handled. It surely has been fondled.
So cozy. This is what inspired the one made from Swift fur.
Here's Swift and Boo Radley the angora bunny a year ago. I have yet to spin Boo's fur - he left us this winter. I'm glad I have his fur to make into something luscious at some point. Maybe another moebius!

This was taken last fall.
Here's the spring roll:

and the resulting infinity moebius scarf

I just love knitting these magical moebius loops, and have made dozens, not only with dog hair, but with all colors and textures and fibers. Some of them are shown and are available on my etsy store... I'm happy to take orders, too. What color do you want?
Doesn't Swift make magnificent yarn? All the colors of her coat show up beautifully. And such a renewable resource! Thanks for sharing it with me, Swift Arrow, you sweet heart.
